I can't help but notice the increase of Hits on this page over the last few days....nothing has changed though, Blake is still a douche bag that should consider moving to the USA.

Young and naive is perhaps the best way to describe Blake Richards. With very little world experience, and having seen the world from the "rose" colored glasses one is given when growing up in "Wild Rose Country", Blake has never seen or experienced true suffering. Much like current Wild Rose MP Myron Thompson, Blake lacks human compassion, caring only for what political decisions will best suit him.

Ex-Thompson worker gets Tory nomination
Blake Richards: "young and energetic."

It took five ballots, but eventually Blake Richards, was declared the Conservative candidate for the federal constituency of Wild Rose on Saturday night.
Richards, 33, an Airdrie real estate salesman, spent seven years as Myron Thompson’s constituency assistant, working out of his Airdrie office.
Thompson has held the Wild Rose seat since 1993 through the metamorphosis of the Reform Party to Canadian Alliance and most recently to the Conservative Party of Canada. That came after Alliance’s merger with the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada.
Thompson will retire after his current term.
Richards is eager to pick up the torch.
“I’m young and energetic and ready to get going,” he said on Sunday when reached by phone.
He defeated Olds area farmer Garnet Hammer, Calgary area businessman Eric Lowther, Cochrane area real estate salesmen Gerry Neustaedter and Larry Steier and retired lawyer Cheryl Walker of Cochrane, to win the nomination.
Richards said he’s been involved in politics since he was 14.
“I spent 15 years on the board of directors for our party,” he said.
His time spent working with Thompson is invaluable, said Richards.
“The best thing about that experience is that most people will know the riding in terms of the area where they live.
“I got to know areas of concern throughout the whole riding.”
Those concerns included some major environmental ones, since Banff National Park falls within the riding’s boundaries.
Issues include agricultural ones, said Richards, who grew up on the family farm outside Olds.
“I believe we have to do everything we can to support the family farm.”
The number of younger farmers is dropping alarmingly, he said.
Other issues include the rapid growth of communities in Wild Rose, like Airdrie, Cochrane and Canmore.
There are some long-standing items that are very important to Richards, too.
“First and foremost in my heart is democratic reform,” he said.
He wants to see a Triple E (equal, elected and effective) Senate.
“My roots are with the Reform Party. I want to see that system in Ottawa changed.”
Justice issues are important to Richards, too.
He said Thompson was justice critic during the period he worked for him and so justice came up a lot.
“We have to get much tougher on crime.
“I think that is very important, not just in the riding, but throughout the country.”
Richards said he is happy with the progress his party is making with tax reduction and hopes it will go further.
Married to Tara with an 11-year-old son, Quinn, family issues are also important to Richards.
One strategy he likes is income splitting for tax purposes.
“We need to take a serious look at trying to support families.”
As for when he will get to run for the Wild Rose seat, Richards repeated the common wisdom.
“I will make a prediction that the election will be this spring.”
Blake Richards is perhaps the worst possible replacement to one of Canadas Worst Ever Politicans Myron Thompson.
Blake Richards will turn Wild Rose into a toilet for foreign tax write-offs.
Blake Richards may as well be a card carying member of the KKK
VOTE BLAKE if you want to see the Wild Rose economy fall to the ground
VOTE BLAKE if you desire to live in an ALL WHITE nation
VOTE BLAKE if you want an unjust justice system
VOTE BLAKE if you have no compassion for your fellow human beings.
Blake was raised on a family farm near Olds, where he learned the important values of honesty and hard work at an early age. Today, Blake lives in Airdrie with his wife, Tara, and son, Quinn. Blake is a lifelong resident of Wild Rose and understands what people who live here want and experience.
After working in the oil field and agriculture-related industries, Blake attended Red Deer College and the University of Calgary, earning a degree in Political Science.
Blake has been active in federal politics since joining the Reform Party in 1988, and has served as a Director and Policy Chairman in Wild Rose since 1993. He has been the local Campaign Manager for two federal elections for Myron Thompson as well as two national leadership campaigns. Blake has been a party member and board volunteer in good times and in bad. He is the longest serving member on the Wild Rose Board, which demonstrates his commitment to serving our party.
Blake gained an appreciation for the diverse issues and needs of Wild Rose, serving as Constituency Assistant to current Member of Parliament Myron Thompson, for seven years. Blake learned the crucial lessons necessary to represent a vast riding like Wild Rose, and has served the people of this riding before.
He carried the same commitment to service and integrity into his present career in real estate, where he has built a successful business with clients throughout Wild Rose.
Blake is committed to his community and regularly volunteers with his church and with Airdrie’s youth. He has coached minor hockey in both Olds and Airdrie, sat on the Board of Directors of the Red Deer College Foundation, and served on the Olds Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years.
Blake is known throughout Wild Rose as a strong voice for principled conservatism and democratic reform. He believes strongly in conservative values and ideas, but doesn’t just talk about public service and understanding the needs of this riding. He has the experience it takes to represent Wild Rose.

Our Conservative government has accomplished much we can be proud of since taking office. We have lowered taxes by reducing the GST, created greater accountability and transparency in government, and reformed the Canadian Wheat Board allowing western farmers to market their own barley. We have made our streets safer by cracking down on crime and re-invested in our military by providing much needed new equipment after years of Liberal neglect.
We have introduced legislation raising the age of sexual consent from 14 to 16, in order to protect our children from sexual predators. We have implemented fixed election dates and brought forward bills to modernize the patronage-riddled Senate, by introducing term limits and providing for the election of Senators.
We have introduced positive change in this country, despite a minority parliament and fierce opposition from a Senate dominated by Liberal patronage appointees. We have accomplished much. But we can do more.
DEMOCRATIC REFORMOur Conservative government has brought in new standards of government accountability and transparency with the Federal Accountability Act. We have implemented fixed election dates, and taken the first steps toward meaningful senate reform. But we can do more.
Blake will fight for a Triple E Senate, which is elected, with the seats distributed equally, ensuring it is effective in safeguarding regional interests.
Blake is committed to holding politicians more accountable by giving citizens the ability to recall promise-breaking politicians from office between elections, and petition for legislative changes through the use of referenda.
Blake will fight for an end to judicial activism. It is the role of Parliament to create laws, not the domain of unelected and unaccountable judges.
Blake is committed to ending all patronage appointments. Federal government positions should be filled based strictly on merit
Blake is committed to ending the massive public subsidies that pay political parties $1.87 per vote received in the last general election. Taxpayers should not be forced to support political parties.

A TOUGHER JUSTICE SYSTEMOur Conservative government is working hard at making our streets safer. We have implemented reforms to our laws on conditional sentencing, ensuring people who commit serious and violent crime will serve their time behind bars—not at home or in the community. We have introduced legislation raising the age of sexual consent from 14 to 16, protecting our children from sexual predators. We have proposed several measures cracking down on criminals who use guns to commit crimes, and strengthening the restrictions placed on dangerous repeat offenders. But we can do more.
Blake is committed to getting tough on crime and putting the rights of victims above those of criminals.
Blake will fight for truth in sentencing, ensuring violent criminals serve every day of their sentence behind bars.
Blake is committed to protecting children from sexual predators by locking up pedophiles and child pornographers and setting up a national sex offenders’ registry.
Blake will fight for prison reforms, including restoring a zero tolerance policy for illegal drugs within federal prisons.
Blake will push for a youth justice system which holds young lawbreakers accountable for their crimes.

LOWER TAXESOur Conservative government has reduced the GST, introduced measures aimed at providing tax relief for families, and brought in pension income splitting for seniors. But we can do more.
Blake will fight for broad-based tax relief and a simpler and flatter tax system.
Blake will fight for a Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights to ensure taxpayers are treated fairly.
Blake is committed to tax fairness for all families by pursuing measures such as income splitting.
Blake will push for a reduction of Employment Insurance tax premiums to shrink the program’s multi-year and multi-billion dollar surpluses, meaning taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money.
Blake is committed to ending corporate welfare, by eliminating business subsidies and using the savings to lower business taxes.

A MEANINGFUL AGRICULTURAL PLANOur Conservative government believes agriculture is a vital component of Canada’s economy, and that farmers’ concerns were ignored and brushed aside for far too long under the Chretien/Martin Liberals. We have reformed the Canadian Wheat Board, allowing western farmers to market their own barley, and recently announced Growing Forward, a new risk management program framework. But we can do more.
Blake is committed to a dual-marketing system, enabling both wheat and barley producers to market their own products.
Blake believes we must stand up for Canadian producers by aggressively attacking foreign subsidies and trade restrictions
Blake will fight for the removal of regulatory barriers to farmer-driven value-added processing, and support other innovations such as ethanol and bio-diesel.
Blake believes we must continue to pursue a long-term risk management strategy that would eliminate the need for ad hoc disaster assistance programs in the future.

STRENGTHENING CANADA’S ARMED FORCESOur Conservative government has provided much needed support and resources for our armed forces. We have supplied our soldiers with the equipment they need to do the difficult and demanding work we ask of them. We have implemented a “Canada First” defence procurement strategy, and taken concrete steps to exercise our sovereignty in the Arctic. We have created a Veterans’ Bill of Rights and Veterans’ Ombudsman, to ensure our veterans are looked after with the respect they deserve. But we can do more.
Blake respects the bravery and sacrifice of our Canadian soldiers, both active and retired, and is firmly committed to ensuring we do all we can to support them in the great work they do at home and abroad.
Blake supports modernizing our military and increasing our resources to assert our sovereignty in Canada’s far north.

SUPPORTING FAMILIESOur Conservative government has implemented tax relief measures to help families with the cost of raising children, such as introducing the Child Tax Credit and eliminating the annual contribution limit on Registered Education Savings Plans. But we can do more.
Blake believes that the family unit is the basic building block of a healthy society, as that is where children learn values and develop a sense of responsibility.
Blake is committed to supporting families, including those where one parent stays home to care for the children, and will fight for family tax fairness, including measures such as income splitting.

STEWARDSHIP OF THE ENVIRONMENTOur Conservative government has implemented a National Water Strategy aimed at preserving our supply of fresh water, and made significant investments in renewable energy and bio-fuels. But we can do more.
Blake is committed to being a good steward of our environment, but believes there must be a balance between environmental sustainability and economic growth. We can go green without going broke.
Blake firmly believes that any action on climate change must be based on a Made In Canada solution, and not on the faulty Kyoto Accord or any international carbon trading scheme which bolsters the economies of other countries at the expense of our own.
Blake believes that the quality of our air and water supply is vitally important to all Canadians and must be protected.
Blake believes we must all do our part to ensure a healthy environment for the next generation of Canadians, and supports a greater focus on recycling and energy efficiency.

IMMIGRATIONOur Conservative government has introduced a number of measures to accommodate legitimate immigrants who seek to contribute to Canada, while doing more to combat human traffickers and those who seek to enter our country illegally. But we can do more.
Blake supports immigration based on our economic and labour market needs, rather than some artificial quota.
Blake is committed to severely punishing human traffickers and to deporting without delay those who seek to enter our country illegally.
Blake is committed to streamlining recognition of foreign credentials and prior work experience so that legitimate immigrants can use their skills to enrich our economy.
Blake supports revamping the temporary foreign workers program – making it fair to both employers and employees – to ensure Alberta’s economic growth is not hampered by labour shortages.

Blake supports the arming of Park Wardens, enabling them to safely carry out their difficult tasks.
Blake is committed to working with officials from Parks Canada and the railways to determine a sensible solution to wildlife being killed on railroad tracks.

FOREIGN AFFAIRSOur Conservative government has taken steps to restore Canada’s reputation in the world. But we can do more.
Blake is committed to a “Made In Canada” foreign policy that promotes the important Canadian values of democracy, free markets and free trade.

DEBT REDUCTIONOur Conservative government has already reduced the federal debt by over $20 billion, and legislated a Tax-Back Guarantee which reduces income taxes by the amount of resulting interest savings. But we can do more.
Blake is committed to aggressively reducing the federal debt, and ensuring Canadians directly benefit from the resulting interest savings through income tax reductions.
Top...
SENIORS' ISSUESOur Conservative government has announced pension income splitting, and beneficial changes to RRSP legislation. But we can do more.
Blake recognizes seniors' issues are going to be very important in the coming years with the baby boomers nearing retirement age. We need to be prepared, in terms of changes to employment patterns and health care in particular.
Blake believes we should end mandatory retirement, and not penalize seniors who work by a loss of retirement benefits. Those over 65 who continue to work should also not have to pay employment insurance premiums. More and more people are choosing (or needing) to continue to work past age 65, and this should be encouraged as it will help to head off labour shortages.
Blake feels we should do more to help and encourage seniors to stay in their own homes longer, so that they do not suffer a loss of independence. This should be done through measures such as tax incentives for in-home care, so that relatives or others can help look after their elderly parents.
Top...
HEALTH CAREOur Conservative government has taken action, in conjunction with the provinces, towards a Patient Wait Times Guarantee, which aims at reducing the wait time for medically necessary services. We are committed to supporting and enabling innovative approaches to health care delivery. But we can do more.
Blake firmly believes that waiting lists are unacceptably long, and we must do all we can to reduce patient wait times.
Blake believes we should respect provincial jurisdiction, allowing the provinces to experiment with medicare delivery reform, including the use of private health care where that is the best and most cost-effective option.
Blake will fight for freedom of choice in natural health products and complementary treatments.
